I find it disturbing that they see their future as "nintendogs" ....

Time to start selling that nintendo stock. I have a sinking feeling this is their last console.

    Wow. Seriously - WOW!

I think online gaming is exactly what the DS needs. I have a lot of hope for that system - it's like there's actual innovation in games again! I really want to buy one when they come out here tomorrow, but unless there's some special offer where they're only 10 Euro, I don't think that's gonna happen... -_-

However, I think they should wait at least another 5 years before releasing a GB successor. If they do it any time soon the DS will be fuckered.

You know, the DS is gonna be great for emulating the Jaguar, ColecoVision, Atari 5200, and Intellivision, it's the only system that can do the Numeric Keypad thing, and you can even get the "overlays" in the touchscreen.

Softwarewise, I really thought it would be a bit better already than it is.... I really want to buy one, but I'd really be buying it because I don't have a GBA at all.

Maybe if they make GBA2 and DS sort of cross-compatible, it won't be troublesome for Nintendo.

I didnt' read the article, mainly b/c I think Spong posts way too much horse shit, but did it mention Iwata saying, "we probably shouldn't have put buttons on the DS.... we might even come out with a buttonless version." ? There's a blurb about it on nintendo.co.jp.
