Saturn black screens after date

My saturn died last weekend.
It boots to the date and time settings screen. Then black screen.
Also, it have no sound in the date/time screen.
It does have a modchip. I will open it today and see if the cap is good.

Take the modchip out first and check nothing was shorted by its install.
