Firstly, I'm not sure why you replied to a two year old topic with something completely off topic!

Secondly, I'm not sure why you would open your Saturn without first unplugging it!

Alphagamer, if you're still reading this, I don't know why I never saw this topic, sorry! To belatedly answer your confusion, I believe that raylyd perhaps misread your original post and believed the Saturn was still functioning and playing sound. You were right - faulty PSU = dead Saturn!

Well there's some mega fail in proper electronics procedure!

Why the hell would you have a live PSU on your lap? Why would you have a circuit board on your lap anyway? Don't you know clothing conducts static electricity, which kills sensitive ICs? Use a table!

    wow...

regarding black screens... I once modded one of my saturns a bit (added 50/60 switch or the like) and it did not boot afterwards... when I popped up the battery and put it back the machine booted again.... sadly I lost my saves :( :( :(

Im not sure you fix the problem with your saturn. I also have such a problem sounds like the same.
Power board changed, CD-Drive changed, reset button checked, but anytime this:
