Hello I have recently removed my original saturn bios and installed a region free bios which worked just fine, now the next mod I am trying to perform is the FRAM mod so I no longer need a battery for my game saves. I attached everything lifted leg 22 of the 1808 chip and soldered it to ground (all instructions are here: https://db-electronics.ca/2017/02/10/sega-saturn-internal-memory-mod-with-fram-no-battery-required/ )

Now when I go to start up my saturn all I get is a black screen, from here I recounted pins and double checked/soldered solder points and everything was connected as ot should be, still a black screen boot up.... I removed the FRAM chip completely and left no chip installed on the saturn at all what so ever and the saturn loaded to the rtc date and time screen. After this I attempted to install a completely different 1808 chip and once again I'm getting a black screen on boot up. Does anyone have any experience with this mod or might be able to point me in the right direction? I don't know what can be causing this issue and it really makes no sense to me.....

Here is a picture of the original install (the one I completely removed)

So I did this FRAM mod on another console and it worked correctly then I changed the bios chip and I'm once again getting a black screen......not exactly sure where my problem is exactly but I guess I will reset the bios chip?
