I got my Model 1 Sega Saturn modchipped recently so naturally I'm playing some of the more rarer of the systems titles like Shining Force 3 and Panzer Dragoon Saga so after about an hour or so of playing I turn off the console but sometimes I turn it back on a minute or so after wards sometimes to copy saves onto the Action Replay and the screen has the horizontal white lines and can't read a disc, this goes away after 10-15 minutes but even today I was playing Burning Rangers the system just upped and rested on me during gameplay.

I've looked online and people are saying its a fault with M1 PSUs overheating, I have the console in a place where the vents are free I even bought I mini Notebook Cooling Fan and turned it on at the vents next to the PSU and still no improvement. Played it for a while. Reset. White Horizontal Lines.

So the big question I'm asking, how serious is this and how much time does my Saturn have left

I'm in Australia so i'm using 240V, what I have at my current disposal is a broken Dreamcast with a functional 120v PSU and it's tiny fan.

But is this something that would require opening the Saturn and buying and replacing a capacitor in the PSU

this is a recurrent problem of the 2nd version of the saturn1 240volts (I called V1.2) all the ones I had in my hands had the problem and nothing has come to end
nor electronic technicians changing components, or I who mounted fan or dreamcast also tried to play without the upper cover!
when it is very hot model extinguished it takes 3 or 4 minutes to turn it back in good condition

    one correct solution:
obtain a power Voltek which equipped the next version (V1.3 in my code)
