I compiled a list ages ago of magazines that were dedicated to, or featured, the Saturn. Unfortunately, it is long lost, and my memory is very sketchy!

So..... I'm re-compiling the list, and could do with some help!

Of course, I know of several UK and Japanese magazines. My memory of what Japanese ones there were is hazy, so I'll need help with that. I also remember some French and German ones - dedicated magazines too, I believe. Can anyone tell me what they were? And what was available in the US? Or any other country for that matter!

Here's the UK list. Feel free to mention any I've missed!

    UK Saturn Dedicated Magazines
    Official Saturn Magazine [37 issues]
    Saturn Power [10 issues]

    UK Magazines with Saturn Features
    C&VG
    EDGE
    GamesMaster
    Sega Magazine
    Sega Power
    Ultimate!

    There's also Sega Visions

It's biased, but they had a pretty nice issue on thr saturn launch :)

Maximum was short lived but of excellent quality and had some great features on early saturn games like Virtua Fighter and Daytona USA. That is a magazine worth hunting down.

Mean Machines Sega had early Saturn info and some reviews

Edit: Those two are UK magazines!

Thanks, Taucias. I couldn't remember whether those two were late enough to feature Saturn. Mind you, I think I remember some PSX in Maximum.

Ryan, I don't think I'd heard of that one before. Which country is that from?

Sega Visions was an American mag, I got mine from a friend, so I'm a little unsure as to when it was finally stopped. From what i can tell it was an official sega magazine, the ones i have are mainly from the sega cd/32x era anf feature alot of content from those systems. However they published an issue on the Saturns launch detailing the system and every game at launch in pretty good detail.

    Thanks, guys! That's very helpful!

    Damn, I can't believe I forgot Total Saturn and Saturn+ !! I have both!

Hmm, I have a Mega Force somewhere. Wonder if it is the right era......

For the record, Maximum was a short lived multiformat publication from the same team as the UK's official Sega Saturn Magazine and Computer & Video Games (later to become Game Online) that folded early due to over-ambitious levels of quality control and artistic creativity. You can find a first person account of its downfall (by none other than former SSM editor Richard "The Master" Leadbetter - which sort of rhymes, if unintentionally!) at some C&VG fan site, whose URL I can't remember from the top of my head just now...
