I don't think the disc is a beta or anything like that, it's just a trial version.

 

I think that's what Ghost means. I trial version is meant to be pretty much the same as the final release, not a broken mess like this one is.

I somewhat disagree. Even though it is somewhat alarming when the public test version of something is a broken mess, this is still a perfect sample of the reason why most demos have a disclaimer on startup that notifies the end user of the fact that what they are about to see is a work-in-progress and may not be a direct indication of the quality of the final product and may also contain unforeseeable problems and bugs that will not be present in the final.

 

true but this demo has no such message on the disc or game. It's for in-store use so the public isn't meant to see the disc anyway I guess.

Yes, that's also true but not as bad as this sample. Still, it's an interesting find the way the speed of the game randomly speeds up or slows down each time you boot it up.
