Hi all! My crt has to go unfortunately. Not enough space an with my baby due in less then 3 weeks I'm finally seeing sense. Anyway I've picked up a few of the retro consoles I used to have when I was a kid an give some love via modding and cleaning and now ready to set up to my vga led screen. I'll give you my setup and just after ideas if it's my best option/setup or not. Asian 1 Megadrive (50/60 region switch) > RGB scart > gbs8220 > vgacable to 3way splitter Pal Saturn (50/60, mod chip, pal/ntscj/ntscu ) > RGB Scart w/sync cleaner > gbs8220 >3way splitter Dreamcast pal > vga box > 3way splitter Vga from splitter > slg3000 > finally connect to telly Hope whoever is still awake can help. I've missed out the 2-1 Scart switch ( for megadrive/Saturn) as well before the gbs8220 Do I need the Scart sync strike still as well Many thanks Mike
You can build your own sync stripper to use with the GBS-8220, but I would recommend buying a Sync Strike instead as it would be a much cleaner looking setup. I built my own stripper before the Sync Strike was released here's my replied postings to a similar question: Thread - New setup > SCART > ??? > SLG3000 > AWSOME! Using the Sync Strike - connect multiple consoles as follows: CONSOLE/S > (SCART RGB CABLE/S) > SCART SPLITTER > (SCART RGB CABLE) > SYNC STRIKE > (VGA CABLE) > GBS-8220 > (VGA CABLE) > TV (VGA INPUT) I have five consoles connected with this setup: Super Famicom, Sega CDX, Sega Saturn (JP), PS One, Neo Geo CD.
