I know there are printer port to USB cables now, but is there software for XP and Up that can be used to transfer game data between the Saturn and newer PCs? It's something I need to know if I'm going to get Dazemon.
Dazemon saves files larger than the entirety of Saturn internal memory. Its saves can't be placed there in the first place to copy to Action Replay. The only safe option is with a device able to transfer from official backup RAM carts who direct save.
AFAIK Dezaemon does not support the internal ram for game creation. A backup cart or floppy drive compatible with in-game access, must be used to save or load at all. But again I don't own the game to try anything...
Ok now we're getting somewhere. I'd like to be able to sample the games of others, so I need a direct like between my laptop and my Saturn to transfer the files back and fourth. BUT my Saturn isn't modded so i can't run back ups or book the game with out an action replay. SO I guess I'm in a catch 22.
I have a model 1 saturn, last I knew it didn't get along well with Modchips. unless I got a Japanese Saturn?
Or play at them on SSF if you only want to test them. Else, if you don't want to take any route given here, ask someone to sell you some backup memory carts with Deza2 savegames preloaded (max 5 per backup memory as the game could only recognize 5 save games at the same time from the same slot). Reading saturn floppies on PC is not possible as of today. Btw, I have some more Deza2 works to share (about 30 new games), just need time to code the thing.
