Saturn Prototype?

    A friend my mine found this in a magazine:

    Have you seen this one before? Looks like they captured the screen from a VHS Cassette :lol:


    You can find this in an old german magazine called "Playtime" 5/94.
    The arrows are like "We don't know what this cartridge port is about" and "We expectet a CD-ROM Drive"

    wonderful find! a really nice proto, never saw it so far.

    by the way, they expected 4x speed cd rom and free mpeg playing :D

    It seems a bit like the normal casing with the middle led panel and cartridge panel missing (I know, some shapes are different). Nice picture!

    Wow, nice image. I don't think I've seen that one before. I do remember reading that it was going to get a x4 speed CD drive though. Still, the Saturn is a pretty fast loader to be honest so a x4 speed drive wasn't really necessary.

    Hitachi SHZ kicked SH2 in the balls apparently, so it was never materiliazed. Or it's just a typo
