I posted on this site a long time ago about a Sophia that I had purchased but the guy decided he didn't want to sell it to me and terminated communication. Well about a month ago he emailed me and asked if I still wanted to purchase it. It finally is here. But it is just a Sophia nothing extra, no documentation no software. I hooked it up and wanted to see if I could get anything to boot up but unfortunately all I get is static. The cd drive spins and the power light comes on. So I figure I must have the switches in the wrong positions. I live in Canada and this is the positioning I've used SW1 1 2 3 4 on, on, off, on (same as US) 5 off 6 7 8 off off off SW2 1 2 I've tried all 4 combinations 3 4 off off 5 on 6 7 8 off off on If anyone knows what I've done wrong with the switches it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Hi, If you scroll down a few posts you will see a topic on this very unit asking for help. Go in and you will see my post with the switch settings. Does your unit have 2 SH-2 processors by the way? If not, it is useless as it is. And on another note..... TO NEW USERS (especially those wishing to sell or buy) 1. update your profile so it says your location. This will greatly aid someone who wants to buy from / sell to you (e.g. better idea of postage costs / whether the item is PAL/NTSC) 2. go to the "Off Topic" forum. Go to the "Sticky: Introduce Yourself !" thread. Introduce yourself in there (follow everyone else's lead regarding what to put). Thanks ;-) Welcome to the board! Incidentally, you won't get your Sophia to do an awful lot anyway... I would imagine there's an awful lot you have missing.
