A Saturn I had arrive today has a broken laser unit (lens actually just seems disconnected from the unit and is rattling around). I am likely going to go with a partial refund rather than returning it. I have tested it with another unit and the console works fine - so I just need to locate a spare laser. Any ideas where to get one? has anyone here got any spares? I am also after a couple of battery/vcd slot covers too. Thanks
Probably cheaper to source another machine, decide which is cosmetically cleaner/fresher and use the other carcass for spares. As for hatch flaps, I've lost count of the number of listings I've read where it says that it's missing. How difficult is it to clip it back in once you've replaced the battery? The mind boggles.
Yeah, I am likely going to end up with all sorts of spares by buying consoles and making up good ones from all the parts. Its just a little annoying there is so much variation (different drives, different boards, different psu). Probably why Druid II started his serial number -> hardware database Figure it was worth asking here tho, never know what people here have lying around
