No, You can change the region + Hz with the switchless mod so the Multi-region Bios isn't necessary. It's just a matter of choice. Hope that was what you were asking?
The only major difference is you need to reboot when you change the region. With the region free bios + 50/60hz switch (or switchless) you can play any region and change refresh rate on the fly.
Hi guys, Thank you for the responses. So for the switchless mod Do I only need to use the pic pins that control the 50/60 part of the mod? The issue is that I have a model 1 with the freebios and the chip and I don't want to do a hole for the switch. Thanks again saludos
