saturn v2 power led problem

hi,
i am having this weird problem, i decided to change the power led green to blue but once installed, cd refuse to launch. if i remove the led, everything works fine. Is it possible the led is consuming too much energy to prevent cd drive to work properly?

what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance !
