Some people have been registering and replying to WTB requests with sale offers that are fraudulent. I would recommend that people only buy from established users, never send money in advance and that if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. There was no fraud, the attempt was blatant and I was notified. As a result the WTB forum is no longer viewable to non-registered users, meaning you must be a registered member to know it exists.
I dont really see the point of a WTB section...I mean if someone wants to sell something they'll put it up in the For Sale section won't they?
If someone wants to sell something then they can put it up int the for sale section although sometimes you may get people who have stuff they're not really wanting to or thinking about selling but see a WTB request and decide to sell for whatever reason. Anyway i think its a bit dogey dealing with new users unless you either know them well or the fact they are established users.
The WNTB section is there for people to request items and not clog up the sales area. Also people should realise that any sellers who reply in the WTB forum should follow the same rules as the sales forum. Hence provide a price and inc a picture if item is over $99.
