I just read nintendo power and saw an article following up on the "create a nintendo game" contest that was out when I was a kid. The winner was Scott Cambell and his game was called "Lockarm" The article about Scott wasn't anything special, but I was wondering about his old game concept. Does nintendo own his game idea? Did they really intend to make a game design from a kid back in the 1980's? Or did they just steal other kids ideas that entered the contest for games we are playing today and just didn't give them credit for their work? I remember all the wholpa back then and after they anounced the winner, nothing ever came of it. What was the point? I personally think it was to get some freebie ideas.
Yeah, I remember that issue of Nintendo power, I was like in 5th grade and was very impressed by his artwork. If I remember right the article said there were no plans to actually make the game.
