An interesting studying... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/7295039.stm Wonder what they'll report in the end. I predict that the kids in the group using consoles will be more cooperative and those without will be pissed off and smash their school up. ;-)
I don't think this report will be surprising, if i was giving 20 mins to play a DS or any handheld even with Brain training or simmilar at school it would sure as hell give me a lift compared to not playing any games. playing a handheld for 20 minuites or not thats not a very tough decision.
I think really it's a study into ascertaining whether gaming has any positive effects. As we are all gamers we are biased, however it is another 'Study from the University of the Bleeding Obvious'. I'm interested to see the results none the less. Anything that puts a positive spin in the publics mind and is backed by hard evidence could be used against the likes of 'You-know-who' in the US. ;-)
I'm surprised the scots will pay for that kind of thing  It's stupid though. Brain Training will not help the kids learn. Proper discipline and an overhaul of the education system is what is needed, not gimmicks.
