I have three dead scph 102's and I wanted to see if I could bring them back to life. Apparently they were all killed by a dodgy controller, so I suspected a fuse but I've found 7.5v and 5v and some really low voltages all around the board. The power switch has 7.5v to it, but the led which is next to it never lights. No picture or sound either. Are there any repair guides? When
Check to see if the board is shorting out somewhere, take it out of the casing, etc. Check if they are outputting the right Ohms as well if you know what they should be. Check power adaptor, too, if its supplying enough amps. Look for any broken traces or resistors, etc. that might have been broken off where a normal working PSOne should have.
The power adaptor is from my own psone which works. All three have the same fault and one of them still has it's waranty sticker in place so I'm assuming they have all blown the same thing. I guess I need to read up on how to check for a short & checking ohms and amps. smf
1002 models? The resistor is under the shielding on the controller block, I had to fix one of these myself. It's not going to be pretty once you peel off the shielding, but it will work again.
