    Hi,
i have some problems to use the neighborhood screen capturing feature under properties.
I cant caputre when im playing an game. Outside of games the capturing function works fine.
When i use the function while playing, i got an network error on pc side.
How can i capture screens from a game with the XDK?
Need high quality pics for writing some reviews.
    regards
    Chris

Some games like the Halo series have this problem. Search for a program called alteration it will be able to screencap what neighborhood cannot.

Does it work for other games that aren't halo? I can remember a couple where it didn't work...

Edit: I just remebered something else.

Using xboxmovie you can get screen captures. All you have to do is open the xbox 360 comand prompt and start recording with the following command

    "xbmovie /x:dev_kit /f:2 /s blah.wmv"

Basically this will create a very small and useless video file, but at the same time will output the frames captured as .pngs on the same folder, so if you start it and end it very fast it should yield high quality screens for any game. You can then delete the video file since we don't need it, as the screens are placed on the same folder. Also the tick is the /s command which makes it output the frames as still images.

Are you saying you can't find the file? I had this happen to me windows 7 and vista. It put all the files here for some reason "C:\Users\Leo\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Microsoft Xbox 360 SDK\bin\win32"

I have no idea why tho... It just does
