Hi, I need to know what size are screws from PSX and GC (screws used in bottom case - marked in red circles in photos). I know that in GC originally are used Gamebit screws but i want to use philips type instead.

    It PS1 not PSX

Since nobody on this site bother to help you.... so I have quickly checked my PS1.
Size you need is 13mm height and 3mm wide. Screwhead either plus or minis. Doesn't matter which one you need.

    Gamecube screw are Torx screw
Screw size are the same as PS1

Goodthing that I'm a Carpenter.. so I know the screw ;)

    Edit

    Fixed my English.

    ^^ well, i'm f*cked!
gonna have to unlearn that TLA....NOT!
since most don't have an actual 'psx' (the line between the ps1 and 2) most use the TLA 'psx' in relation to ps1!
    ...
whether ps1 was really called 'psx' before that grey box was released, can't say, not looked into it!
    ...
for what it's worth, i understood the subject clearly! (and as for psx referencing, i use it for ps1 disk images, ALL THE TIME!) :friendly_wink:

    ^^^

No idea what the hell you talking about.

PSX is known as PSX DVR came around late 2003 (which I own the item) PS1 or PSone is just known as Playstation Not PSX. People just mislead other people without checking.

^^ is that what it is? (and i didn't invent the psx TLA either, from old times still in use)
    ....
as no psx games exist, just ps1 and 2, again, most still use TLA!
if it was a psx the subject was about (grey box) surely op would be a lot more specific on that!
    .....
i've uploaded ps1 images at various places and yet, the item submission tags (at the time) were just psx or ps2, no ps1! (other that BCG, nowhere i'm at handle ps3 images)
    ...
if you're not sure what i said, the web can fill you in! (said piece, not derailing anymore)

YES you can use that aswell. You can buy those for your gamecube. Anyway thanks for the positive reputation szczuru :)

What the fuck in the world you talking about now?

PSX DVR .....is a home media system that has a harddrive, recording tv, satellite and plays PS1 and PS2 games with Xcross media bar. Pretty much like XBOXONE

    PS1 .... Original Playstation (grey)

    PSone .... slim Playstation (white)

i know of the DVR combo xmb job, in fact, what is that unit colour?
    ...
i was talking about (in this world or other) a reference, to the ps1 images as psx, because no actual psx games exist!
    ...
the net also uses that TLA!
    ....
as much as i HATE to dig up my past, for an example look at 'the iso zone' (public forum/HTTP host) and look to the 'playstation downloads' to get what i mean!
it's not just me using psx as ps1 reference!
being a NAZI about it helps NONE! (really, it doesn't)

    [edit]
    typo....

    What the fuck?

DVR unit is white with big fucking PSX logo on top. I own this item. my PSX model is DESR 7700.

Next time some people should correct themselves by saying PS1 or PSone instead using PSX.

Psone\ps\ps1 was always called PSX in the past! So it isn't incorrect at all call a psone with psx.
You shuold look the executable to find the reason (guess how they are named? PSX.EXE), also it's the prototipe name before the playstation came out.
Sony, IMHO, did only a wrong idea call a new console PSX...

Those kind of discussion are only useless.

The first PlayStation has literally always just been called that up until the slim model which is called the PSone. "PSX" term for Playstation/PSone is a coloquial term.

And no, not all executables for PS games are PSX.EXE, some use the SLES/SLUS

I'm not referring at the executable name, but at the strings in the exe itself :p
And don't forget in case there isn't any system.cnf in a psone image the bios will search for the file PSX.EXE :p

In Japan, gamers call PSX as PSX DVR. PSX never released outside the Japan, so it is obvious USA and Whole Europe got mixed between PSX and PS1 or otherwise.....
