I don't know about you guys, but I often find myself with a pen in hand, whilst doing something entirely unrelated, and suddenly I realize I've drawn a bunch of stuff on a piece of paper..any piece of paper. I don't know if it's a common thing, but often there are great ideas found in those care-free doodles. I'd love to see what others do, so feel free to post your stuff here in this thread!! To me, it's a sort of art in itself if you think about it, because you can see how a piece of paper might have started as something formal, about notes, numbers, important shit and suddenly there's more imagination around it than you'd expect! here's something I did yesterday while overseeing a program being made. PS: there's a small surprise of sorts if you can find a hidden exclamation mark somewhere inside the picture!
we have a winner! your gift is a free stay at my place whenever you visit Greece! now tilt your head side-ways to see what's next to that mark, Mark PS:the hidden item isn't the car, that's in plain view!
Nice prize but I doubt I'll be going there any time in my life but if I do What is the thing next to the mark?
I make quick little sketches all the time. In fact, that's pretty much all I do as far as visual art, with the exception of the occasional vector art drawing. I agree that such drawings can be art in themselves. There's just as much a concern for form, texture, composition, etc. as in a larger, more finished work. I guess that's why I rarely turn them into larger works (that, and I'm a lazy bum). I'll post a few of mine later. Warning: they're a bit stupid.
It was sarcasm/dry humour, as the ! wasn't well hidden either. I would of thought that was easy to pick up as the car is very obviously right at the top.
sarcasm and the internet are a bit of an odd couple sorry! there's a :I face next to the question mark, two eyes and a mouth if you look close and sideways.. @Mark: anytime mate, it's an honour to have you here!
