I feel like the s-vid is rubbish.
Are the 3rd party rgb scart cables sold on ebay any better than this?

I know this is of topic, but I don't want to make a similar thread about this..
Same question goes for the rgb scart cable for the superfamicom.

    sure, rgb is better.

don't know about any 3rd party rgb cables, though.

but i think mine are 3rd party and they work fine.

3rd-party is just as good as those original cables SEGA sold back at the time. I have two and they deliver a wonderful sharp RGB signal.

Compared to the wishywashy shit you get by using an S-Video (or in my case a composite) cable: (game is Batsugun)

Sorry, I need both - 1x for the vertical, 1x for the horizontal Saturn :p

    This looks reliable to me:
    http://cgi.ebay.de/RGB-SCART-cable-lead-for-Sega-Saturn-NEW-FREE-UK-DEL_W0QQitemZ360174385849QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_VideoGames_VideoGameAccessories_VideoGameAccessories_JN?hash=item53dc10fab9&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177&_trkparms=|293%3A1|294%3A50

    Mine cost ~10-15€ shipped each.

I'm using RF at the moment, don't get any noise at all. Have massive problems with RF usually, but still the accurate image SCART produces is superior. Auto switching is convenient too.
