I've got two PCI SCSI cards specifically mentioned in the Dreamcast SDK documentation as good cards to use. They both offer different types of SCSI connections, I'll see if I can dig them out.

    Oh miracle ! Are you sure those cards can setup their i/o adresses at 300, 308, 310, 318, 380, 388, 390 or 398 ?

Off hand no but as soon as I can locate the model number I'll check the manuals.

Found two of the cards I was looking for. One is an Adaptec "AHA-2940/2940U+" and the other is "AHA-2940W/2940UW". No jumpers on either so anything must be set in software.

    Thanks APE ;)

Unfortunately I already have those cards and their i/o cannot be set in software. It's a fixed i/o address

When I am back in Cologne in a couple weeks I will look through my obsolete hardware closet. If I find something you can have it free of charge :smile-new:

Which operating system are you using? I don't think it's possible for a PCI card to use those addresses in Win NT because it locks down legacy port address space. Unless you're using poorly written DOS software this shouldn't be an issue.

If you must use legacy addresses, Win 9x will be necessary for a PCI card, and you're still at the mercy of the driver. The driver must allow it to be configured at those addresses.

Or you can use an ISA card with jumpers, but I'm not sure you'll find one configurable for all those addresses.
