hello. i have an sd2snes on pre order and wanted to get my snes 50/60hz switch modded to play my games in fullscreen/speed. i was gonna have a enable/disable region lockout switch installed to the lockout chip aswell but last night i read on ikari's updates that the sd2snes has a region lockout bypass built in. does anyone know if the sd2snes plays all region games without modding the lockout chip in the snes? theres no point on me modding the lockout chip if the sd2snes bypass's region protection.
It should, though sd2snes doesn't play all snes games. The right lockout mod will make it easier to play Kirby's Dream Land 3, Super Mario RPG, and other unsupported NTSC exclusives.
Yeah some games won't run if they detect no lockout chip either. I've heard mario rpg carts are often that way.
i heard that about some pal games aswell. thats why i opted to go for the enable/disable chip rather than just totally disabling the chip.
