    so what program is best to use so the saved image above will be printed the correct size?

    Depends on what the printer needs...
    I'd say best is Adobe Illustrator, because you can keep all the vectors when using this.
    Second best would be PhotoShop, but note that it will render the PDF to pixels when opening the document.

    You can open any PDF in Reader, it should print out correct as long as you specify to NOT scale it while printing.
