Not correct. The newest only supports Visual Studio 2008. Visual Studio 2010, however, is not supported. Edit: Visual Studio 2008 support added in November 2008 XDK.
What version Number is that. i doubt i have it as i have the leaked release. i am looking in to being a developer when i get older. this is the only forum i have liked recently. thanks for the quick responses and all
If you only have the leaked release then you do not have the latest, neither do you have one that will support VS 2008. I hope you succeed in your future, I too wish to become a developer when I am older, and as am I doing everything I can to have an advantage when it comes to finding a job.
Thank you. i also wish you luck in your future hope fully someone leaks the newest one. :110: . just kidding i am gratefull for this release. but i guess it was bound to happen with a new free60 hack on the way
If you are a beginning developer I can see the appeal in wanting to download the leaked SDK, however without the proper basis in programming reading through the leak is not going to do you much good. I say this not to make a judgement on if downloading such a leak is good/bad but to give you honest advice. If you really want to learn I would *HIGHLY* suggest downloading Visual Studio Express 2008 SP1 and XNA Game Studio 3.1. This combination is completely free and will expose the basics of Xbox 360 programming in a structured way. No, you can't do as much with it, but quite honestly, unless you are already a professional programmer you're *NOT* going to do much of anything with the leaked SDK. With VSE+XNAGS you can target the PC for free. If you want to target the Xbox 360 you'll need a $100/yr Creator's Club membership. Once you've outgrown XNA you can then start to effectively use the professional tools but don't believe anyone who says that you can't do professional level stuff with XNA. Anyone who makes that claim is either lying or simply doesn't have the knowledge to use the tools themselves properly. -hl718
Thanks Hl718. can anyone PM me a Xbox 360 CENTRAL Login. or link me to some sort of registration page given by microsoft. Thanks in advance
Ohh you want a password to xds, here you go User: N0Tp051b13@xds.com Pass: rainbows Lol sorry for that, only developers have that password, and usually its not many of them in the studio.
I'm sorry, but this is a definate no-go area. In regard to XNA Game Studio, if you are unfamiliar with programming and C++, this may be a suitable path. It is also a legal path. However, I think the point is that professional developers aren't using XNA express, they are using the SDK, so you are going to benefit more, if the path is open to you, to familiarise yourself with the official XDK.
