SDK , Recoverys and Dev Tools leaked!

hier ist mein problem: ihr alle denkt, dass nur weil ihr devkits/debug kits habt, dass ihr exklusiv/elite seid. wen kuemmert's ob was geleakt wird? finde es kindisch und auch ein bisschen lustig wie ihr hurensoehne euch auffuehrt wenn ihr seht, dass euch etwas nicht mehr exklusiv ist

Ich lese zwar nirgends oder zumindest tue ich und meine Kollegen keinen auf dicke Hose und prallen überall mit unseren Dev Kit´s etc. (wäre auch etwas leichtsinnig meinst du nicht? )

Okay people, please explain:

We're all opposed leaking XDK software. Fine. But then, everybody wants to see "the xbox rebooter" released, so you could finally launch XDK (OMGWTF MAME! XMBC! DASHBOARD REPLACEMENTS!!!1) stuff on your hacked Xbox 360.

That somehow doesn't work together. I'd rather see XDK homebrew (which obviously requires pirating the XDK) than just pirated games (which would be the only thing you could do with a rebooter minus the XDK tools). (But I would even more love to see non-XDK-homebrew, because that wouldn't involve any pirating - but that seems to be just me who cares for that.)

But on one thing, pit is right: You're not going to be elite because you paid $1500 for some piece of hardware which is totally worth it or because you warez'd some development software which is "so hard to get".

Both sides are right! More homebrew please! (Can't wait for your SNES port) but leaking the SDK is not the right option I think.. If someone wants to create some homebrew why not use your libxenon etc. ?

 

People bitch too much after stuff has been leaked. We can all complain and moan after it is out, but it is out there so we all need to get over it. I mean I have it all on my pc now. I have no use for it either. Just like all the xbox 1 xdks.

 

Worry not... Microsoft is slowly chasing and shutting down every running torrent with the said SDKs... :lol:

 

Well they havent done a very good job since the last post about a month ago. But it doesnt matter if the SDK is leaked or not right? You cant do anything with it unless you have a devkit hooked up.

 

At least (at the time I wrote that) the said torrents were deleted from public trackers.

 

Overall Microsoft didnt do that good of a job as they are just about everywhere...

 

I know nothing about 360 scene/dev/etc., so please excuse my ignorance...

Why do any of us care whether or not 360 dev tools are leaked or not ? Do you own microsoft stock or something ? I don't see why it's even interesting.

The moment the software touched the first developers hands, it should just be assumed to be out in the wild. It's almost a law of nature.

So what negative thing is happening to 360-folks-on-assembler now that this torrent is out ?
