Sorry to say that but there's no way to proof that your S&P was really new. Apparently it got sealed by some shop-clerk as all N64 games just came in retail boxes of 10, each of them open. Just a stripe of generic transparent tape is put on retail boxes, that's as far as a sealed collector can get with jpn N64 games.
I concur. That's the problem with Japanese Nintendo games - They don't come sealed as in entirely sealed, so many copies are prone to shop-soiling. Chances are, that $92 Sin & Punishment was probably just a very mint used copy which was sealed by some store clerk in the US and resold as brand new due to its minty condition. The box looked so fresh, but chances are the game was played before
I like sealed games. I don't know why people gets so angry(?) with other people collecting sealed games. I've seen a lot of people say: I just wanna play, so I can buy a cheaper opened mint copy. But I know a lot of people wanna buy a brand new, open and play it. But the rarity can change that, even if the person say collecting sealed games doesn't make sense. Oh, and there's the people who like to play and pass the game, and don't like to keep things... * About the N64 thing, there's no japanese N64 sealed games or accessories... People should understand that. =/
This is because people have pre-conceptions of what is / should / must be the right way to do stuff. While i don't plan to keep my games sealed, i understand why people do it. Whatever makes people happy, in my opinion, is what matters most. It's the same for those who collection action figures, diecast car miniatures,... If these people are happy having a big collection, factory sealed or not, what rights do i have to criticize them? Who am i to say "this is wrong"? People these days care too much about what the others do.
yeah I would do the same with a sunfaded sealed game ... I was reffering to a perfect mint sealed copy of course ... btw.: for all video game (sealed) collectors: http://www.sealedgameheaven.com (new SGH main page with daily limited editions, collectors editions, ebay auctions, etc. news!). Check it out!
??? Sunfaded? Where did you refer to sth. and responding to who? My passage that you quoted belonged to hl718's post: /edit Turns out this probably was only an alibi for reposting the well-known link to the forum, should've guessed that, d'oh!
sorry I thought you responded to the sunfade ... but I would do the same with a sealed game with a crack in the case ..
I thought I might add that we are working very hard to post all the latest and most relevant collector's news, such as various LE's and CE's, pre-order info, as well as specials written by our regular members... We try to keep it relevant to our hobby, so other sites like EuroGamer and Kotaku can post all the pointless news which doesn't really affect us collector's
