Sealed Xbox 360 development kit. Five boxes in total.

On the 1st January this year I made a pretty cool purchase in my opinion.

It is a sealed Xbox 360 final development kit.
1x sealed XDKs
1x sealed accessories
1x sealed sidecar
1x sealed Kinect
1x Power supply. The seal is broken on this box but it looks to be brand-new I'm not sure if this was done by Microsoft.

So all boxes are in great condition I guess the question is what would something like this be worth right now?

This is not something I ever plan on selling

What did you pay for it if you dont mind me asking, of all the kits ive owned over the years, ive never had a BNIB one.

 

It's a slim xdk, to ask keep it sealed for collection.

 

I paid 500 AUD cash. It was pick up only and I didn't want to lose the chance to get it so I paid my mate $200 to drive pick it up and bring it down to me a week later. He did about eight hours driving so I thought it was fair to pay him $100 for petrol and $100 for his time. He didn't do it for the money but I felt it was the right thing to do. Also all of this happened on 1 January when it was a public holiday and I could not transfer money. So he used his own $500 and I did a direct deposit the next day when the banks opened. Sorry that's probably a lot more than you needed or wanted to know but that's the story.

Yeah he is a top bloke definitely a genuine guy in this community. He helped me lockdown something I believe is extremely rare.

Keep in mind my prices are based on nothing but speculation and comparison to other b/s/t threads, sales on eBay, and personal dealings.

For the console new in box like that
$400-$600

Kinect - $75
Keep in mind the Kinect in that box is nothing fancy, at all. It's a standard retail/final in a fancy box. But because it's sealed you might be able to get $75-$80 depending on how you word things/hype it up.

Power supply - $50
is the same deal as the Kinect (please correct me if I am wrong) $50 just because it's in a dev box

Accessories - $50
These are yet again, a bunch of retail items in a dev box. Controller, keyboard attachment, mic and probably a few other misc items. I'd personally pay $50 for it, but I'm not interested in collecting anymore, so make of that as you will.
Sidecar - $140, $200 if you are evil.

All in one as a bundle - $1,000
It could be hard to find a full setup like this again, you can sell all the parts indevidually faster, but for the average enthusiast (like myself) who isn't involved in the super duper tight knit XDK community this is really annoyingly difficult to find. For some I'm sure it's not hard at all to source these items. But most people aren't friends with the right people and will have to search.

 

Hey buddy thanks for the response. I've got lots of mates that have owned development kits etc over the years I've even seen a couple brand-new. XNA Final kits for example I even have friends with extremely rare kits like the transparent slim engineering kit. I've seen a few people like devil dog get their hands on sidecars and more recently accessory boxes and power supply boxes. But to this day I have never seen anybody have all five of these boxes let alone four of them sealed. I can only find one public video on the Internet of all of these boxes being opened excluding the sidecar. I do have another video of that for reference though. Any information you could find out would be great I would love to know the original RRP for some of this stuff.

 

Yeah man no problem at all. I think we've seen the same video, considereing it's on YouTube and its the only one haha. I'll do a little digging and see what I can find. All in all you have an awesome collection there, I understand you're not interesting in selling these items and I think that's the smart move. You managed to get a good deal on something pretty special, I'm happy to see it's in good hands too. As for the kits you've been able to see in your time that's awesome, im actually a bit jealous when it comes to the crystal engineering kit haha, those are just downright beautiful,
