It is of course possible. However, until someone who owns one steps up, you aren't going to see one. I remember a while back there was a blog done by the art director of Secret of Evermore, and he posted tons of scans of concept art for the game. Alas, my attempts to find that blog again have failed.
I found a post on the gamefaqs messageboard about it saying the old site with the art director's posts was deleted and they had wayback links to still view them.

That is definitely the guy who did the concept art. He used to have a blog where he posted a ton of pictures of his concept art, but I guess that is lost.
Hi, I have contacted Daniel Dociu (art director) on phone and he said me he doesn't have any information about SoE Prototype cart. Brian Fehdrau has no email and if I want to contact him by private message he doesn't answer me. Perhaps this picture http://oi54.tinypic.com/34nha14.jpg from what Mag? please anyone can help me about this...? if you have the date and the mag name please... The picture on the middle right is not the same as the final game about text. Thanks
The picture was taken from here: did you contact that blog author? Maybe he can check out the magazine name I would also love to recover prototypes of SoE!
Hi, Can i see frontside cart picture please? I would like to see what is the text on each eeprom please. Thanks
I was contacted about a year ago on Nintendo age (I think) from someone who wanted to sell me SOE prototype, as I don't collect prototypes for the snes I let it pass. I'll try to go through my messages to see if I can find the owner. *Edit I just found some emails and pics but the seller asked for discretion so I've emailed him back to see if he still has it and if he is open about selling or talking about it. I'll keep you posted.
Here is a picture of a Secret of Evermore prototype. It was the US version of the game, but was used in Sweden for evaluation purposes.
