Seeking Information "PS3 Early Navigation Controller / Dvt1589"

Hello, I was wondering if any had or knew of anyone that could input any additional information about this particular model of the PS3 Navigation Controller model number Dvt1589 High resolution images below.
I obtained this device recently, and have a large amount of prototype hardware to still go through and document. So please if anyone has any information let me know.


I will be disassembling the device upon further information to investigate internal differences between this model and the retail one.

I would be happy to as I go through it all, I belive the last prototype I discussed was my DEH-R1040, I'm currently in the process of preserving everything and making sealed cases for individual items as I do this I'll make note of model numbers, tear down, document, clean, and share everything with the community. I believe in transparency and will do my best with everything. Just moved to a bigger location so mostly everything is packed away, but all that aside does anyone know anything about the model above dvt1589? Iv seen earlier FCC filings but really nothing about this.

Additionally if you do in fact have a DEH-R1040 then that's pretty high up on his want list for research

I appreciate the information! I figured it would be mostly identical, thank you for the pre retail confirmation btw! Should I not disassemble the unit then?
