sega cd 1 & 2 CPU..

Hi ,
I do really wonder if anyone has got any kind of info (better than a guess, a personal conclusion can do), if CPUs are interchangeable between sega cd models , ie remove a cpu from sega cd 1 install it on model 2 or vice versa?

Cpu by you mean the Motorola cpu Then yes everything should be perfect.

 

in fact its the sega square chip, the largest one, not the Motorola, isn't that the CPU of the system??

 

Oh you mean the sega 315 ic should be swap-able able
