Some month ago i bought broken sega cd model 2 USA ver. (reading disc problem). The laser was new, the ex owner has replace it yourself, but he didn't remove static solder blob. Unfortunately sega has big problem with reading disc: some times the game was start for the third time and freez after 5-15min, some times no, because ex owner adjusted all point VR 401(EF balance adjustment), VR 402 (Tracking gain adjustment) and VR 403 (VCO adjustment). I bought a new laser, but this doesn't help. Somebody help me...
Maybe somebody has the same sega CD with kss 210a laser, and can measure the resistance of 3 this points.
I understand that a crazy idea, but I haven't choice.

If the electrolytic capacitors are BAD not even the best adjustment possible will make it work.

All capacitors are replaced. I forgot to write about this.

Pretty sure the pots are tuned for the board so getting positions/readings from other peoples consoles may not work for yours.

You don't adjust a laser by measuring resistance. You need at least an oscilloscope.
