Sega CD II/Mega CD II repair

    My second Mega CD II is completely dead. The light does not even turn on, so I assume it is not getting any power. Anybody who knows how to fix it?

    Probably the fuse ;) just check google...

    I used a twist tie to create a bridge over the dead fuse and it worked! But now there is no fuse. Can the whole thing then crash?

    No fuse = very easy for power surge to kill system.

    VERY easy.

    Also, zero protection from shorts.

    GET THEE A FUSE ASAP AND STOP USING THAT TWIST TIE!

    Worse, it can burn down your house. Just go buy a new one for a few pennies.
