    Hello all,

So in short, I got a sound problem...to be more specific, the sound is scratchy.
I made a vid, so it's more clear on what I mean:

    Details:
It's a Sega CD Model 2, the one with the Sony motherboard in it.
In the vid you can see that the problem only occurs in the game. The startup screen with Sega is fine.
Also tried some others games. Like for example Chuck Rock II. For those who know it, the intro is a cartoon that's pretty long and that plays absolutely perfect.
I own about 20 sega cd games, so if I need to try another one just let me know.
I have another Sega CD Model 2, so there is nothing wrong with the cables or the Sega attached to it.

So I was hoping to find someone with the same problem here who could tell me what the problem could be?

    Already many thanks!

    Cheers

    Nobody? :(

Maybe someone has an idea how to troubleshoot this problem?

I would assume this Sega CD Model 2 needs a recap and the DAC circuit is feeling the pain. Check your board for leaks, too. It is possible that the caps went bad and also leaked fluid. Make sure all of your pins and traces are still in good order. Hopefully the ICs are OK.

Agreed with CK. And is this the only game it happens in?
