Personally I think all of Ben's designs are awful. He's a fantasic electronic builder and modder but not too hot in the design department IMO.

It's pretty awesome that not only is it ugly, but it cannot play genesis games.. Also, your disks are unprotected, but if you remove the disk.. the drive itself is unprotected.

Oh yeah. So what he had done is destroyed a perfectly good compact system, built it in to an ugly case and removed 90% of the game library due to no cartridge port and added the extra chance of killing your disc or the drive. What a stupid mod!

Hmmm so he made a Megadrive and a mega CD into a gameboy looking fellow. For fucks sake, he could at least have put a magnifying lens in the fellow (it would not be so very hard to put that in), instead of "we" had to squint our eyes to see what is going on the screen.

He also hasn't seemed to improve his work in the least. His method is always the same:

    1) Crack it open
    2) Flatten capacitors against the board
    3) Solder wires to every port necessary to relocate them
    4) Build a case to contain it
    5) Stuff the above into the case

As an engineer pointed out #2 and 3 are likely to cause a lot of problems after a few years.
