Will the Mega Everdrive work on the CDX? Will this 1 console allow play of Sega Genesis, CD and 32x games via the Mega Drive? Will I still be able to play Master system games? Thanks

Yes, yes, no, yes*, and yes in that order.

CD is not done at all, you still need a physical disc to play (either original or burned)

*still need 32x adapter to play 32x games. Officially 32x is not supported but they work fine. No plastic piece was released to stabilize the mushroom top on the CDX so you'd need to do something to stabilize the 32x or every time it wiggles, the game will crash.

Why will the CD and 32x not work? Whats the point of them built into the system?

    That's not quite it.

The CD drive is built in, but CD games must be run using CD discs.
CD games won't play from a cartridge.

32x is not built into the system. 32x games only run if you correctly attach 32x hardware.

Master System games are compatible with CDX.
They won't work on a 32x, have to remove 32x when playing Master System games.

Although I can understand the confusion because they both have X in their name. The CDX is only a Genesis + Sega CD, not a Genesis + Sega CD + 32X.

Secondly the Mega EverDrive can't play CD games.

Ok so the cdx name is misleading as it does NOT support 32x games without the mushroom. So for 32x games the system would just work just like they do with every other Sega. Now to CD... I'm confused. The Mega cart will not load cd games? It requires the disc? Is the Mega cart just for Ram storage? For some reason I thought it did it all.

Flash carts are not magical devices, they can't make the hardware do something it just can't do. As far as the system is concerned you put a regular game into the cart slot. The resources available at the cart slot are all the flash cart has access to. You can't load CD games via the cart port. Same with the 32X, even if the Mega EverDrive had the ability to run a 32X emulator you still need the AV in/out of the 32X.

The Mega EverDrive can play Genesis/Mega-drive games, Master System games (because the Genesis/MD is backwards compatible with the Master System), and 32X games (with 32X add-on). however you can not play Master System games with 32X add-on attached. Again this is not a limitation of the flash cart, its a limitation of the combination.

I know its not "Magical". Im not a wizard that knows it all so I have no clue how any of it worked. I thought at first the CDX was a Genesis, CD, 32X combo. I also thought "maybe" the cart could feed the genesis the cd info. Again im not no wizard know it all. I just like to play!! lol

Right the mushroom works, just doesn't fit happily as it should. Sega didn't sell a mounting kit.

I understand, I wasn't trying to say you should know it all. I am not a wizard either when it comes to hardware stuff.

Be careful, CDX takes a special power adapter.

As for imports... CDX is still US region inside like the Genesis. Carts don't change that.
Dual language roms will use English.
And some PAL roms or CDs may be incorrect speed (Mega Everdrive is able to load BIOS files to bypass the CD lockout).

I decided to just use my Genesis and hook up the 32x. It didn't work at first (No shock), after opening the mushroom and pulling the white ribbons and reseating them it works great!
