So I was listening to best of fight week on Howard Stern, when they played a clip of him yelling at Gary about promoting the sega channel as he did not know if they were an official sponsor and did not like the contract that said he is responsible if anything is damaged so he would have to pay for it.

What caught my attention was how he mentioned it was hooked up to a comp cause it wasn't available yet in long island. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF_a3RgLjc4&feature=related clip is right here start at 3:36. Anyone know if it was tested this way or did Howard mistakenly call a genesis a computer? And if it was done through a computer anyone know how this computer was setup or how it worked?

Edit: Listen to part 13 and howard reveals further cause the cable doesn't exist yet, its hooked up to a separate computer that's streaming to it. Be interesting to see what that looked like. Also a funny one to listen to it.

he seems surprised by the size of the "box", being quite big, and mentions that this isn't how others would connect to the service.

To me it apparent that he had to use a computer as a proxy for a VPN or something.
