So i picked these up today. one was a trade online and one i got at the swap meet. i don't have the power cable for the General Instrument one but im sure i can find something compatible. I'm pretty sure they are useless, but they add to my Genesis accessory collection quite well. Kind of like my x-band. ;)

Can anyone tell me anything about them other than what wikipedia says?

Ahh, I miss my Sega Channel so much. I have both of those, and am missing the same power cord. (you just get an error anyway when it fails to connect)

You can find some good videos on youtube. There's also a couple of ROM dumps of Sega Channel demo carts, so you can get kind of a feel of how the menus were.

What's really hard to find is the japanese version of the adapter.

They are 100% useless beyond what they boot up to and I really, really, really hope you didn't pay much for them. Neat collectors pieces but wholesomely useless.

My Sega Channel was given to me, without the power cord but one showed up on eBay for BIN $1 about a year later.

Better than a rock or some other paperweight!

I don't know some quartz paperweights are quite nice and probably prettier to look at.
