I was rewatching the "Making of Lunar 2" CD for the PSX and I beginning when they are talking about people lined up to get their autographs of the two people from the Lunar team. If you watch very closely you will see a sign for the Dreamcast complete with it's swirl, I had to watch it 3 times to make sure I was seeing it right. Sure enough it says Dreamcast under the swirl.

So my question is this, did SEGA advertise the Dreamcast during the time Lunar 2 came out for the PSX? I honestly don't remember if SEGA even announced the Dreamcast yet in the USA back then, which I am ashamed of because I was working at Babbages ETC (Before they changed to GameStop) at the time.

Lunar 2 apparently came out in 1998 for Saturn and 1999 for PS1. The Dreamcast was released in 1998 in Japan. I think that answers your question?

When the Dreamcast was originally announced, they were still calling it Katana. They announced the final name later, though I'm not sure when that happened.

Yeah, that answered my question, I did't have the game Lunar 2 just the Making of disc copy so I didn't know the year it came out, I guess I could have looked that up. I am was just a little surprised to see Dreamcast in the background of that video. It had a sign and a monitor on a window (yes I had to watch the video a couple of times to catch this LOL).

Actually, Sega realeased the Godzilla VMU about September 1998, three months before the actual Dreamcast.

Oh wow, I didn't know that Yakumo, was it just the special VMU or did it have a game on it too related to Godzilla? Dumb question I know, but I had to do ask it.
