Sega Dreamcast Dev-Box Drive problem

    There's also a sensor at the end inside the drive, near the touch latch, to tell the system when the drive is open or shut. If the sensor is not being pushed back, then the system will refuse to read any discs (that is if you were able to replace the laser).

    It is possible that you may be able to push the GD-ROM drive all the way in and still not hit the sensor. You may need to glue some cardboard paper or tissues at the end so that when you close it, it definitely hits the sensor, lol.

    Don't quote me on taht but I think it's "da chip" but with the d reversed...

    ba like the ps2 chip for the drive ic
    not frimware chip
    da chip is frimware
    as on day i will put up repair guides for the dev box but frist i need a good camora
