For sale is, what I consider to be, the rarest piece of Sega Dreamcast development hardware: the Lanmaru adapter for the Dev.Box 5.24 development box. This is the only Dev.Box I know of that has LAN support (in lieu of the modem adapter). Thanks to El Barto's generosity in supplying Passport for LAN, I was able to confirm that it works 100%. Please note that this is a LAN adapter and not a Broadband adapter as Planet Web 3.0 is unable to use the adapter. The box appears to have come from a first-party developer in the U.S. which is unusual since the LAN adapter was not available here.

    What is included:

    - Original 5.24 Dev.Box the adapter was originally in (and is still in)
    - Lanmaru adapter

Price: $10,000 OBO (no trades). This price is serious. I never planned to part with this as this is my most valued piece of my Dreamcast collection. It's been representative to me of all of the work I've done to restore the online component of previously online Dreamcast games and it's honestly priceless to me. The price was chosen due to its rarity and my wanting it to go to someone that will take care of it (at least, I hope if someone spends that much they will). Serious offers will be considered, but do not expect a reply if you're offering $100.

Shipping: This is located in the U.S. and free insured shipping will be included to anyone purchasing this in the continental U.S..

$10,000 is way over priced. I see you must have a lot of sentimental value and I DON'T BLAME YOU! But realistically it's only worth about $2,500-$3,000 at the most because of how scarce they are. Last one I v'e seen went for about $1,500 about a year ago.

AND YES MORE PHOTOS PLEASE & THANK YOU!:victorious:

    Hi Dreamcast,

This is a really amazing masterpiece.
It's too bad that you have to sell it.

    In fact, I'm looking for a Dev.Box 5.24, but a 'normal' one.
I'm a true Dreamcast fan, I own many Dreamcast materials (including 3 BBA...) and I'm looking for a dev unit because I have some projects in mind.

Anyway, good luck for your sell!

    Cheers,
    SiZ!

I use to want one but I just don't have that kind of money. I bought a NTSC-U BBA adapter a few years back and I can develop with a retail console just fine. Total cost for my setup about $180 for everything.
