So I got this faulty Dreamcast for free...but the laser was dead, so I am trying to replace it.
Problem is I've bought a SPU3200 laser and my Dreamcast has a Samsung Board.

After some searching, especially on youtube, a lot of people say it can be placed on a Samsung one and make it work (especially Brazillan youtubers).

Can anyone confirm this? What would the pot values be?

I cannot, but it does seem doing it the other way (SP3200 to Samsung) doesn't work.

Here's the best example I can find and the original video of where I learned it was possible.

He does the replacement of the laser, at minute 13:44 he states the pot is at 1455 ohms, thinks it is very high and proceeds to diminish it - according to his intuition - first with 902 ohms - laser works - but then ends at 515 ohms, at minute 24: 10, ends up saying not to always set that determined value as it depend on your Dreamcast and is not a fixed pot value.

He is using a real copy of NBA 2k, ntsc version, see at minute 10:28 , and in the comments you can notice I asked him what the board was, which he responded it was a Samsung one.

There are other people I asked about this, where they said I would have to lower the Disc tray, in order to lower the GDROM and allowing the laser to read.
