SOLVED Sega Dreamcast, no video or fan spinning

Hi! I recently decided that I wanted to play my dreamcast the other day, so I plugged everything in and when I turned the console on the orange light went on but I had no picture the screen stayed black and the system's fan wasn't spinning, I tried to put a disc in to see if a game would boot up and the disc wouldn't spin.
If it makes a difference I use the original cables that came with it. The model is HKT-3030. I searched google for hours and I couldn't find any possible answers.

 

hi Cutie , from memory if the Dreamcasts Fan Cable is not inserted all the way in the Console will have symptoms like your having. You may want to do a eye inspection and wiggle of the Cable to see if it's loose. After that pull it out gently and re-insert it so it is snug , best of luck.

 

Yeah this is a safety mechanism of the dreamcast. If it doesn't detect a spinning fan then it shuts down
