Hey, this is my first post here so sorry if this is in the wrong place. A few years ago my Dreamcast had this problem were it kept rebooting itself randomly which was a real pain, but lately it won't even boot up. I sent SEGA an email to see if they could repair it, And i just got this stupid reply saying i had to repair it myself. I was wondering does anyone actually know what is wrong with my Dreamcast and where i could get some new parts for it? Its a PAL Dreamcast (just thought i'd put that there)
no idea about parts, but the reset problem was mildly common. usually, the power lines became loose due to heat or something like that. search a bit thru then net, you will surely find some helpful info.
On mine the pins had turned black, cleaning them fixed it. I don't know if it's caused by arcing or a reaction between the two types of metal.
