sega game gear fix not powering on fault

    i have discovered the sega game gear not powering on fault and fixed it with a 8v regulator and the size type is sot-89 its the same size just want to people to know i did try 7508 did not work

    I have a Gamegear with the exact same problem, can you post your fix in a more noob-friendly way? :D

    those GGs have dead capacitors in them, the sooner they get replaced the higher chance there is that the GG will work afterwards... the cpas leak out and the leakage is corrosive, and after longer time, it will destroy the board to some extent leading to more or less unfixable problems.

    EDIT: bah, misread some stuff... anyway, the few lines of text above still apply for any non working GG that has not got cap replace
