Sega genesis flashback hd console (32x support?)

    i cant seem to find any information available as the 32x is rather obscure atm

    Would the 32x attachment work with the console? anyone here know/ willing to check

    No. It's an emulation box. The actual 32X will not work with it. The 32X requires a realtime functioning Genesis system with Analog RGB video output. Now the emulator could potentially support 32X emulation.

    I wonder if converting the HDMI output to analog RGB would make it work. Am I correct in assuming that the resolution would be an issue and it would have to be downscaled to 15kHz? Is there anything else stopping the 32X from working?

    Yes, you need an actual Sega Genesis operating for it to be attached to. The emulator box's cartridge port is just a cartridge reader. It's so it can read the memory stored on the cartridges. The emulator does not work in "real time" like the original hardware which the 32X is designed to work with. That's a pretty straight forward and simplified explanation but the bottom line is no, it will not work.

    The video output/overlay issue is just one thing I chose to mention about why it wouldn't work.
