Hello I have a Sega Genesis game with no label and I really want to know what game it is. After cleaning the pound of dirt out of the game i still could not get this to work. So I popped open the cart and I see what I'm guessing to be why..

It looks like parts of the connectors have been warn off. You can see a little bit of it in the picture. Sorry I could not get a better picture. Anyways is there anyway to fix this? Is there something I could put over the spots to fix them or could I desolder the chip and place it in another cart? Any help will work great

    The chip reads

You could probably move the chip to another board, or you could read the chip with an external programmer and check it in an emulator.

Yea I know but its not really the point. I'm a sucker for no label games I just have to know what they are. I guess no matter what. The only good thing was I got a box of 20 games two where no label one of the no labels was streets of rage 2 maybe Ill get lucky and it will not be a sports game. Never know unless I find out

Desoldering the MaskROM and putting it on a good pcb would work. But only if you are experienced with soldering and desoldering should you attempt that. If you had a Sega CD transfer cable you could try dumping the cart and seeing if its functional enough to read back the first 512 or so bytes to get the title/id number.

Yea im not the greatest at soldering that's the only reason I have not tried yet. I got all the spots off of it and it looks really good but I'm still got getting anywhere driving me crazy I guess Ill attempt to do the soldering.

Could the fuses be bad should I try to replace them first

There's no fuses on Mega Drive cartridges ....

The two things on it are an ceramic capacitor (the pink thing with axial leads) and a electrolytic capacitor (the blue thing with radial pins).

It doesn't appear to be in the Nepereny PCB database, but based on the ROM serial number, it looks to have been a first-party game released shortly before Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (MPR-16263) but after Race Drivin' (MPR-16020-F).

BTW that site came in very handy when I had a Comix Zone PCB and a Pit Fighter PCB and couldn't remember which was which!
