Hey all, picked up a couple model 2s as a project. One works fine and plays no problem. However I'm having problems with the second one: I press the power button and the led turns on nice and bright but NO VIDEO. I've cleaned the cart slot with some compressed air and gotten the dust out, but still nothing. When I turn the console off a little flash appears on screen. Not sure what that means but I take it as a sign of life. Anyone have any ideas what I could do to get this up and running?

I had two recently that had this similar problem and both had corroded traces. One had corrosion coming from the 315-5660 chip and the other had electrolytic fluid corrosion from a busted cap. Multimeter is your friend. Have fun!

The model 2s are known to have issies with solder points breaking. Be it for the controller port pins, power port pins, or video.

Take a look at the underside of the board.
