i have a genesis that displays a picture and all, but it has a purple tint to it, thought it was the a/v port at first but after remelting the solder(they can come loose after a while) it still had the purple tint. im thinking that maybe one of the capacitors near it has gone bad, but i dont know which one specifically would control the video and pulling caps at random doesnt seem like a good idea. anyone know which cap could be the culprit?

Two things, are you sure it isn't your TV and are you using composite or RGB?
